Dominican University's Residence Centers
At Dominican University we offer three very different Residence Centers: Guzman Hall, Hertel Hall, and Rosary Hall, each with different amenities and room types. As a resident, you’ll be part of a stimulating community where academic programs are supplemented with community interaction and service learning. In the healthy, safe, academically-conducive environment of our Residence Centers you will achieve success and flourish as a scholar and as a human being.
Rosary Hall: Freshmen and Upperclassmen
Rosary Hall’s single rooms offer personal space while also providing many different types of common spaces. Rosary Hall has one large, themed lounge on each residential floor. The second floor study lounge offers computer stations with printer access, a projector, and large group study tables. The third floor lounge focuses on media with two flat screen televisions, comfortable seating, and a Netflix account for student use. On the fourth floor pool tables and ping pong tables are surrounded with high top seating and a flat screen television. The second and fourth floor lounges have kitchenettes. Laundry facilities are offered on every residential floor and wifi can be accessed throughout the building. Rosary Hall has a 24-hour security guard station at the entrance to the building.
Hertel Hall: Freshmen and Upperclassmen
Hertel Hall is the largest residence center on campus providing a safe and comfortable living environment and many different room layouts. A meeting room, quiet study room, study lounges, and a computer lab with printer access lets you work on your academics while the building also offers two entertainment lounges with televisions, pool tables, and ping pong. A full kitchen, large laundry facility, and vending area are found on the first floor and wifi can be accessed throughout the building. Hertel Hall has a 24-hour security guard station at the entrance to the building.
Guzman Hall: Upperclassmen
Guzman Hall offers apartment style living with central air and nicer finishes along with private bedrooms and semi-private bathrooms. Every floor offers a study lounge with quiet study areas, a group work space, and casual seating. Other amenities include a laundry facility, vending services, a small fitness room, and a conference room. The first floor lounge includes a computer and printing station, flat screen television, ping pong table, and small dining area with a public refrigerator and wifi can be accessed throughout the building. Guzmán Hall has a 24-hour security guard station at the entrance of the building.
